here comes MAM again, comprised of four inseparable musicians, equally
fluent in Jazz, World Music, and Modern Classical Music, out on the road,
year round, in France and elsewhere.
Viviane
Arnoux (accordion and vocals), François
Michaud (violin, viola and vocals), the founding members in 1992,
joined by Alain
Grange (cello) and Sylvain
Pignot (drums, percussions) in 2000, have chosen a "live in
concert" setting for their 4th CD. The move has refreshed the inspiration
and the energy that their harmonious, generous, sensitive and original
music conveys.
Jazz, yes, but away from the standards, and affirming its multiple influences
all the way down to its track titles: Franche Contrée, Major Dom
Tom, Celtique Jungle, Ritmica, À Babouches...
A colorful universe, unexpected landscapes, humor: what a trip!
